Magpielane Kennels - Where Finnish Lapphunds are bred with love and dedication

Anika was the only girl from the long awaited first litter to Blaze and Macey. My greatest thanks go to Vanessa for being prepared to entrust her precious female puppy to me.

Anika’s sire, the illustrious Blaze, is the most stunningly correct and beautiful male. As a mature dog, he has never been beaten at Royal Show level, against the best competition that the nation has to offer. His honour roll includes four consecutive Best of Breeds at the Royal Melbourne Show, as well as Best of Breed at Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide Royal Shows. In addition to his outstanding conformation, he has the most loving and tractable nature.

Macey, mother of Anika, was imported from one of the leading kennels in Finland. She is an extremely petite and showy girl, who has also excelled at Royal Show level. She has won the Bitch Challenge at the Royal Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane Shows. I especially admire Macey’s elegant length of neck and her lovely, thick, long coat and tail.

Anika has received the best structural attributes of both her beautiful parents. She is a big, strong girl with beautifully balanced proportions. She has inherited her mother’s calm, gracious temperament, which makes her an absolute joy to live with. She has shown herself to be a wonderful mother, expertly raising her first litter of nine puppies (“E” litter) with a minimum of fuss. She has seemed to nick well with Tarka, as there were some really lovely puppies in the litter, including of course, my Johanna.
